There are a lot of things that influenced goth. Wikipedia has a page dedicated to the goth subculture and mentions various things that influenced it. Films, music, celebrities, stories and characters, high fashion, and mythologies. Other subcultures, mostly predating the goth subculture but also current and contemporary subcultures, influence the style, sometimes to a point of creating a substyle of goth or the other subculture. In other words, so many things influenced the goth subculture.
